Question:

Should we apply Title IX to Women's Studies programs?

...Where if there aren't equal amounts of men and women signing up for any given class, that class is terminated?

Feminists seem to think that scrapping the men's sports teams is a fair solution to females not being interested in that sport...

So let's use the same EXACT principle for women's studies programs.

They're fighting for "equality" right?

I'll bet they'd love that idea.

  1. No one is for scrapping sports programs - we have said that several times over the past few days.

As for canceling classes-  I think you proposed this a few months ago.  When I suggested if we did that, then engineering classes would go as well,  you didn't think it was such a good idea.     Remember use your SLS.

  2. Women's "studies" programs are blatantly discriminatory and should be banned for the hate speech and propaganda they are.

  3. "Feminists seem to think that scrapping the men's sports teams is a fair solution to females not being interested in that sport..."

Um, no. No one thinks that. That's absolutely ridiculous.

And even if they did, applying it to scrap educational classes is even more ridiculous.

  4. Actually, feminists want mandatory gender studies for both sexes beginning in 5th grade and continuing through the first four semesters of college, which would include s*x education.  And, feminists want public school funds for physical education to be spent frugally and on activities that benefit the most children in the most health benefiting ways, such as swimming and ballet for both boys and girls instead of meaningless combat-oriented spectator sports like football and basketball, in order to address the national crisis of obesity and poor health habits that terribly crush our budgets and taxpayer wallets.

  5. And if you would look a bit more closely at your OWN SOURCES you would see that it is not "feminists" that have caused this, or implemented it, but the Dept. of Education's (misguided) INTERPRETATION of Title IX. This is NOT how Title IX was meant to be interpreted.

You should read more closely before pointing the finger in the wrong direction, and mocking others for not "reading up."

  6. That sure would make things interesting.

  7. then we're getting rid of engineering, teaching, construction, fashion, and almost everything else.  title ix doesn't apply in college.  scrapping teams is not what feminism or title ix is about - it's about providing funding and opportunities that weren't previously available.  i'm not sure what's so offensive about having two soccer teams?

  8. That's not what title nine means.

Title nine means that if I want to play hockey, I should be allowed to join the men's team, or, if there are enough other women who want to play hockey, an equivalent team is formed.

A gender reversed situation would just mean that, if you want to take women's studies, you won't be turned away because you're male. And you won't be, so quit bitching.

  9. yeah, this isn't true. you're speaking out of anger and ignorance.
