Or maybe more powerful fictional super weapons to protect us from a fictional threat?

  1. Hmm - we definitely need fictional weapons (preferably a Death Star - we know that will destroy a whole planet!) because I don't think nuclear weapons can destroy a real planet, let alone a fictional one.

Then we get to other scenarios for our defense - what can we do to protect ourselves from the impending pole-shifts that will apparently cause chaos. I'm thinking we need to develop some sort of giant electromagnet so we can generate our own magnetic field and prevent all the predicted issues....

  2. Yes a phased anti-neutrino particle cannon or mini black hole space mines, use the particle cannon to drive the Nibiru aliens into the mined black hole mine field lol.

  3. The Ort Cloud is not fictional, and it is a threat. But probably not in my lifetime.

  4. The Shuttle will retired in 2010, you should arm a Soyuz capsule, as Orion will not be ready when Niburu will not hit us.

  5. No.  We got nuclear missiles on the ground, so there's no point in having them in orbit.  We should stockpile a few on the moon just in case...

  6. What we need is a planet killer, like the machine in the original Star Trek episode "The Doomsday Machine".

  7. Your sub-question answers the matter nicely:  the best defense against ignorant doomsday scenarios is education.

  8. The best fictional weapon we have is God...now let us pray...or is that prey. I can never get that right.

  9. Nope.  It's like having a gun in your house - most gun shot victims are the owners themselves.

  10. Even if "Nibiru" were destroyed, people would probably still believe something ridiculous.

They'd make up some crazy conspiracy about how we're all under the illusion it was destroyed because the government wants us to believe it for some far-fetched reason.

    Just the way it goes.

  11. We need to fight fire with fire my man...

Remember that planet that is on the opposite side of the Sun from Earth that we can never see? Yeah, that one. (Wow I actually thought it had a name). Well we just need to sling it out towards old Nibiru and blast them both out of the sky.

I heard from someone or I read somewhere or I saw on youtube that if both orbs collided, they would both crumble into dust so there would be no fear of any impacts from debris. Just some cool meteor showers.

    I could've sworn it had a name.

Anyway, Mr. Inaudible says that it exists:

  12. I'll go with the fictional weapons, we need to build a death star to protect us from the supposed giant planet that defies the laws of physics
