In my opinion, the reasons for going to war in Iraq is no longer matters. Our soldiers are there and being attacked by Iranians and other fighters being supplied and trained by Iranians. Iran has threatened us and our Jewish allies. They ARE building nukes. We are approaching the time where our main force in Iraq will no longer be needed as Bush's "surge" has worked. The last thing we need is an enemy of the U.S. to gain nuclear power. Remember, this is a country who is killing Americans every chance they get. Imagine what they would use their nuke for.....

  1. the reason why the us has not attacked iran already is not because of fear of the russian  reaction. russia was somewhat allied to iraq prior its invasion and they did nothing whtn iraq was invaded. the reason why the us has not attacked iran so far is because they can't. true thay can probably destroy iran or the entire middle east for that matter. but the multiplications to an attack on iran will be disastrous. iran is different than iraq. its larger population of 70 million are unlike the iraqis united. they are all shia muslims. it is expected that if attacked iran could mobilize up to 25 million regular and paramilitary forces, which would be the largest military mobilization in history. and no one, not even the mighty usa can survive a militia warfare of this scale. true if a war of this scale ever takes place iran might be entirely destroyed. but so will the us army. iran is three times the size of iraq with three times population. so practically iran has reached the point of no return. there is no more that u can do than u did to try to stop the communist revolution in china

  2. Surge = bribery of resistant fighters.

  3. Do you honestly think this would solve the problem?

I agree with your points, but the way that Russia is now aggressively pursuing its ends in places like Georgia would indicate that it is not liable to be as passive as before and they are on Iran's side. Are you sure Russia has not already positioned a few nukes in Iran to retaliate against any outside attack?
