  1. You pays your money and makes your choice. They wanted the Ayatollah's type of government now they've got it.

    Let them sort it out.

  2. Let them all sort out their own problems, why should our boys go to war when it has nothing to do with us. We are always putting our noses into somethings when we should let them get on with it. Would they all come here if we wanted help...No way ! We have had enough of wars in our lifetime, and in a lot of the Countries we are still there, at least our boys are.Dont you think we have enough problems of our own at the present time...?

  3. I think we should be more militant in getting our government out of Iraq where half a million have been killed in the conflict.  How can we sit back and allow our representatives kill so many people in our name?

  4. There's plenty of atrocities in our own nation, why do we need to buy into the warmongering propaganda against Iran? People need to first analyze this kind of stuff and then realize there are other solutions besides reaching for a gun.

  5. Whilst I do not think it correct that people in other countries should be put to death purely on the basis of their sexuality, I feel it would be more advantageous for a country's people to be more militant and achieve moral victories in the homeland.

  6. To include The Human Right to Peace as one The U.S.A. and all other nations has is a start. To bring in Amnesty International to pester Iran might be of some use but it might have been doing so already. The approach that might work best might be to join Amnesty International  and report on conditions in Iran.

  7. How can you do more than invade countries?

Next time your country goes to war, you can do all you can to make sure that your government has the FULL support of the citizens.  When you see some wacked out liberal creating pure fiction to encourage others to withdraw their support of their government, kick them in the teeth.

If the liberals had supported the war, we would have won a long time ago and we could have done something about Iran by now.

Today terrorists are encouraged by the anti-war left more than by anything else.  That's why they think that mere propaganda is all they need to use to get us out of Iraq.

(Funny...the same thing happened in Vietnam...liberals back then payed no attention to the fact that Ho Chih Mihn admitted repeatedly that he would win the war in Washington, not in Hanoi.)

  8. I guess you're American........you're representatives do plenty in your name.........Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran next.......all in your name so they can share the burden of guilt among 250 million others

  9. Well....I guess we need to make a decision as a country.Do we get involved in everything we dislike throughout the world or mind our own business.I dont recall anyone naming us the world police, while I feel horrible about what is happening in places like darfur I cant help to think that we have young men and women here returning from war, many with physical and mental problems not receiving the health care they deserve,we have millions of homeless people, rampant drug and alcohol abuse, teen pregnancy,aids...i could go on and on...the point is.Lets take care of ourselves first and then maybe we can lead by example rather than just killing people when they do something we dont like.Once people from other lands admired our country and wished to emmulate it.Now I suspect that many people do not feel this way anymore.I am a proud American...but we can do so much better, how can we force our will on other lands when we dont even have our own house in order?

Ps Im a liberal...come kick me in the teeth...please

  10. People keep saying we should stay out of world affairs. They seem to think we would be safe if we did.

If Iran does appear to get the bomb, and if Israel believes it is about to be used, they will attack Iran. There may be a nuclear exchange whether we like it or not. Nuclear explosions will float right over to our " safe hideout."

Sorry, but we can't hide in this world today.

  11. How about we mind our own business and let the People of Iran decide what they want to do.

That is how we get people hating us, we do not understand their culture and are already hated around the world for being too nosy, and being too quick to go to war.

We are making the same mistakes of Europe of the last 1000 years. One needs only to look at European History to realize why the world sees us as a bunch of fools.

Also if you are reaching for a m16 and not joking, recruiting offices are everywhere. Join up and let a serviceman or woman come home. You will have to lose some weight based on your picture. But the Marines will straighten that out.

Also you realize war with Iran is a war with Russia. You still want to get out your M16 or will you yell in Russian "нет" "NYET" which means not or no. Russia has a vested interest in protecting Iran from Invaders. It is called oil.

Also I wonder why it is always the warmongers with such poor grammar.

I recall a German Movie named Stalingrad. Filmed in German Subtitles in English.

The German Speaking Russian lady tells the German soldier, I use to admire both your country and your language by now I feel this deep emptiness inside.

This is what many people feel about the United States today. We are the Holy Knight that has fallen thefore becoming a "Dark Knight"

  12. dude, call the UN ! is not our yob......

  13. No.We're already too much involved sorting out other peoples problems.Look after your own first before you go on international crusades. And don't forget that it wouldn't be the Governments that 'act' but service personell.Again.

  14. What about the s*x trade in Thailand and thousands of other terrible things? Well the answer is: not so much oil in Thailand.

  15. I agree that something should be done about the atrocities, but....How can we allow the same things to happen in our own country, and they do. It starts here. We make this country and it's people, the best they can possibly be first. Then we worry about the world.  Is what happened in Iran disgusting, of course it is. But g*y people have been persecuted in this country, and sometimes still are. We have atrocities occurring in this country and we, as citizens do nothing.

Want to help? Put the AK down and volunteer at homeless shelters, tutor people, be a mentor for a kid who really needs one, and always find something good to say about others, and if you can't ...say nothing. We set examples by living the example, we win over evil one day at a time, one person at a time and we begin with ourselves.

  16. you go to iran and teach them a lesson.....it'll save us billions.

  17. The big problem with the idea of just going into a country and beating the holy h**l out of their nation's ideals (amongst other things), is that America has so much staked in other nations that acting out against them could harm relations with those nations.

Example - The US senate again votes against recognizing the Armenian genocide as performed by the Turks 90 years ago.

The whole reason that the US chose to ignore the reality of it all was to keep the diplomatic bond with Turkey intact, so they could use Turkish airstrips for their supply runs in Iraq.

The worldwide political game is much more complicated that in seems on the surface, and I think that Dubya is finally noticing that.

Even with the atrocities in Iran, even if we did see an overthrow of power in that nation, they would soon go back to an ideological theocracy as soon as troops withdrew from the area.  You can't force democracy down the throat of a nation that has lived under brutal warlords for centuries on end, and expect them to just accept it as the new truth of their world.

Also, if we see an American move-in on Iran, we could see the potential of World War 3 on a fully nuclear scale.  I'd hate to say it's true, but I don't want to be the one to judge what nations are bluffing on being nuclear superpowers, and which ones are crazy enough to use them.

  18. Clutch at straws much?

  19. Because usa was onced the be all of super powers .

No longer you country is in DEPRESSION

You views along with your President no longer matter on the world

And because you censorship laws suck....

You do not get the truth and do not understand why you as a people do not stand together.

You have no rights anymore in the usa or Canada anymore

We can't let this stand. Please write to the Ontario government today and demand the immediate release of these political prisoners.

The government should respect community demands for a moratorium on mining and exploration -- not imprison Indigenous leaders who stand up to destructive industry.

In another community, Ardoch Algonquin spokesperson Robert Lovelace has already begun serving his six-month sentence for the same charges. These Native leaders are being locked up because they refuse to abandon their duty under their own Indigenous laws to protect the land from mining and exploration that could affect the health of their community and their neighbors for thousands of years.

Your letter can help free these political prisoners today. The government needs to see an overwhelming outpouring of public support.

The identity of these communities is closely tied to the relationships they maintain with the land. Chief Paula Sherman of the Ardoch Algonquin First Nation explained that "the message delivered clearly through this court decision is one of domination and oppression; the law will enforce one set of values with respect to human relationships with the land in Ontario and there is no room for [Indigenous] laws or values."

This attempt by the Ontario government to bulldoze over Native rights using the courts and jails -- rather than seek resolution through negotiation and reconciliation -- is a deeply disturbing precedent.

Your voice can help convince Ontario that this heavy handed approach is unacceptable and will not work.

Thanks for standing with us in support of Indigenous rights,

David Sone and the RAN Old Growth Team

  20. Because LAST time we intervened to stop atrocities in foreign nations (Saddam Hussein abusing and destroying his people w/ chemical weapons?!), the whole d**n country freaked out at Bush and tagged him as a "miserable failure" on Google.  And now the liberals want the U.S. to stop the genocide in Darfur, and help poor Iran.  What happened to "it's not our problem?" and "we can't police the world?".

(I also support U.S. intervention in Darfur and Iran, but I think we've got too much going on in the middle east to send troops and supplies to this places at the moment.)
