Should we boycott Oil companies...?

facts are:

oil companies are total b******s

they act with immpunity

they adversely disrupt legality and democratic processes

they profit from destroying our environment

they undermine the rule of law and democracy

they subvert the will of the people

they fund and protect undemocratic, oppressive and violent regimes- who often turn to hostile to the West or create conditions were hostile loonies grow like weeds

they act in illegal, collusionary and highly nepotistic monoplostic manner

guilty of price collusion, artifically limiting via closing down viable refineries

empowered OPEC

do not obey market laws of supply and demand

routinely cook their books

Therefore- as these total b******s consider us, the People, as more contemptuous than what their servant removes from their hounds bottoms-

why not force them to their knees?

and start to boycott- then bankrupt the pricks?

Don't listen to their hysteria about job losses- millions more are employed by small and medium business.

  1. no can't wait to get a job with them, really good money.

  2. I'm all for it

But everytime someone suggests it, people go "Yeah, lets do it!" and turn around and buy gas and fuel oil and such.

    We need real organized action

  3. All you have to do is set the example by walking or riding your bike everyday or even take public transportation, oh, wait, most P.T. uses oil or gasoline too!

  4. They are much worst than that , they have deliberately generated an impression of scarcity by under supplying  the number of refineries  - the also have actively suppressed alternative technology including some have allegedly murdered scientists and inventors.

They are on a global asset seizure trying to monopolize supples worldwide.

They are behind the ethnic cleansing in Darfur Sudan, which is  oil rich,  and most other conflicts  in the world.

  5. Should probably also boycott China and India, for their increase demand.

    Boycott speculators.

Boycott enviromentalist and their blockage of things like drilling own oil (wouldnt really make an impact, but would create jobs and bring in trillions to the economy), blocking nuke plants.

Boycott Israel, Palestine, the US, the EU, etc. for causing instability in the middle east.

Boycott all the people that drive SUV's.

    I could keep going.

  6. If we ( the USA ) boycott the oil companies - its not like they would go under - or go out of business. With windfall profits almost the size of our national debt - even if we STOPPED using their oil - they'd still be ok financially.

I think boycott is too strong a word - there are thousands of people working in the petro industry - and the last thing this country needs is more layoffs. Should we reduce our consumption - Heck Yeah! Should we STOP catering to the Saudis - OF COURSE!

But its like trying to lose weight & we are morbidly obese. How long did it take Jared to lose the weight with those subway meals? It wasnt overnight thats for sure. And when we start to "diet" there will be plenty of temptations & relapses I'm sure ( think H3 vehicles, over usage of heating our homes etc )

Plus you have to weigh the costs - no pun intended - just as its more expensive to eat healthier, its gonna be more expensive to NOT use oil /petro. And in a down economy, people hate hearing the "cost more" phrase.

I feel you on wanting to stick it to the oil companies - but this is a monster that has been created over time - and it will take just as much time to slay this dragon.

  7. Boycotting the oil companies would be the only way they'd lower their prices. What good is it to them to continue raising their prices, if nobody buys. Unfortunately, they know we have to buy gas for our cars, for heating and cooling our houses and we are at their mercy, they know it and go to bed laughing every night.

    I think we are stuck.

  8. Me thinks you are on a rant fest - idiot.  You are clearly a nobby no mates.

  9. There is no use in boycotting, you are eventually going to have to fill up.

  10. It'll make no difference. Big Oil  knows that they've got you over a barrel.
