Should we bring back dinosaurs?

Question

What do you think? Should we bring back dinosaurs with some DNA that we find? If we had 100% of a dinosaur specie's DNA, should we clone it? It would be hard work, and it would mean having to also clone prehistoric plants and plant rare ones, specialize the soil, and even have to make it in a dome so they're air can be adjusted! But shoould we? All it could be for is paleobioligy and tourism. And the tourism would support the studies. But what do YOU think?

If we could do it, then it would certainly provide a perfect means to disprove the notion that carnivorous dinosaurs would play nice with early biblical meat-bags (er humans) once and for all.

Plus we could find out the colour scheme's of them without a doubt and observe behaviour ... it'd be a gold mine of information ...

Extinction is a natural process.  I would not bring back any extinct species.

well im skepticall about it,

BRIGHT SIDE: we would be able to see these beasts that use to roam thousands of years ago, and it would overall be great....

DARK SIDE: where would we put, them, they would eventually get out, and reaik havick and the cost to reapair everything will be enormous..........

It sure sounds intriguing but the costs of not only doing the experiment, carrying through with it and then caring or caging in whatever comes into being would be prohibitive for an ordinary human being.

So I think it would be better not to do that.

PBS's NOVA did a special on Dinosaur DNA extraction and production. Regrettably, it has been deemed impossible to artificially create such creatures because their DNA is far to fragile to use.

Its a fun thought, but far from reality.

Then again, who knows what the future will hold?

At that point its a matter of Ethics. I think we should with moderation and limitations. Purely for the purpose of scientific studies.

whenever we can we should clone dinosaurs but smaller so they can be pets :D
