Alright, for those of you who have not been doing your research, Canada as of recently has become very stringent at the border for people who have been crossing. As a matter of fact if you're not a resident or citizen of Canada, it is difficult to cross with the amount of questions they ask before they finally let you go. Even celebrities have a tough time at the border, they complain about it all the time.

Also IT IS NOT EASY TO GAIN RESIDENCY IN CANADA!!!

Unless you apply to become a resident by way of marriage or sponsorship through a family member, it's extremely difficult to get in. I know tons of people who have married specifically to stay in the country.

And to apply as a skilled worker, you must have the education and required experience to get in otherwise you'll be waiting a very long time before they finally approve your application. Things have become much more difficult after 9/11.

So in essence, you try applying for residency in Canada then come back and tell me how "easy it was".

And to answer the question:::::: Build a Canal?????

What is this the underground railroad??

The U.S. accepts far more legal immigrants in the WORLD, including Canada.

We also have far more illegal criminal aliens than any other country, especially Canada. As a matter of fact, we could send all our illegal criminal aliens to Canada, and ther population would practically DOUBLE overnight.

Comparing our immigration policy to theirs is ridiculous.

Not all illegals are from Mexico.

They just seem to cause the most problems and have the highest profile.

There is BIG money in illegals and when that goes away, so will they.

Canada does not want illegal aliens anymore than we do.  Per the snide comment on the number of people we accept, it should be well know that we accept more immigrants than the rest of the whole world combined.  THAT has got to change immediately.  

Big business desperately wants to dilute the labor pool with three people for every dishwashing job.  Congress is thugging us daily with this mess.  Congress folks, by the way, are getting up on C-Span and demanding the people hired in the infastructure repair process be American Citizens.  I think the Democrats have a very nice little revolt going very nicely.

they don't want to go to Canada. even if they got into Canada, they would not get what they get here. .welfare, free healthcare, free govt housing, etc. I checked on moving LEGALLY to Canada and I had to live there like 5 years before I would have even qualified for there universal health care or financial aid for school, etc.. they come here illegally and get it all day 1.. why the HEL L would they want to go anywhere else

Actually Canada accecpts Mexican immigrants to work in Canada.  They are not as strict as we are here.  I do know this cause I have family that applied to go to Canada under the NAFTA agreement and they were excepted in 3 months.  And no I'm not ILLEGAL I was born here.
