  1. Ummm... why?

Their numbers have been increasing dramatically over the past 30 years. There are now about five times as many polar bears as there were in the 1970s.  They are prospering.

  2. I don't know if you were serious with your question or not, but far-reaching measures have been implemented for a number of species, so the idea is not without merit.  For instance, the Light-footed Clapper Rail has received a helping hand from humans via the construction of man-made nesting rafts that "go with the flow" of the rising and falling tides.  The success of this research was mixed, as I understand it.  Still, I've not heard of any discussion or research on this for polar bears, but I believe that if there's  merit to such an idea it would be considered and implemented through research projects to assess it's viability.

I've linked a few sites below.  Contact them and ask them your question, they may be able to inform you as to the kinds of research underway there or elsewhere that may be relevant.

  3. No.

P.S. This is what is known as trolling

  4. I was thinking the SAME thing. I think it's a good idea. It would give them a place to rest since thier ice floats are melting.

The people who think the bears are not in any danger need to do more research.
