  1. yes we should continue to tip, these people work hard and put up with a lot from the customers for very little pay, if a person is  to cheap to tip they don't need to go, and no i don't work at a restaurant

  2. You should ABSOULUTELY tip when you dine out.  Servers do not get paid minimum wage.  They make between 2.13 -3.13 an hour and after taxes, thats only a 10-30 dollar paycheck.  If you have bad service due to laziness, talk to a manager.  But if you see your server running his/her butt off and your drink needs to be refilled, it's because things can get hectic.  Ask another server passing by, teamwork is a part of the restaurant business.  And tipping should not be 15%, you should tip $1.00 for every $5 spent.  And if you have a coupon or a discount, you should still tip on the original bill amount.  If you can't tip, don't go out to eat.  These people work hard for their money.  Everyone has bills and some have kids that they need to feed, cloth, send to daycare, etc.  As far as delivery, a 10% tip is acceptable.  Only places like Dunkin donuts that have tip jars it would be ok to not tip since they do make minimum wage, but I normally just drop in the loose change.

  3. If the service is good, why wouldn't you leave a tip?

  4. What would happen if people quit tipping in restaurants all together?  Restaurants would increase menu prices in order to provide their servers with fair wages; or, more likely, everyone would be required to pay a 15-20% gratuity.  Either way the cost of your bill would go up.

  5. Yes. The food would be way more expensive if the servers had to be paid at least minimum wage.

  6. Yea, unless the service sucks. If my server sucks I don't tip.

  7. Of course you should tip, but only if you feel the service was good and worth the tip.

These waitresses and waitors normally make below minimum wage because they make alot of their tips.

I know in a  few states they only get paid like $3.00 an hour + tips.

And if you feel they charge to much for the food, then dont go there. Go where you feel is worth a tip and the meal.

  8. yes u should no matter what. they dont make enough money.

and plus if u go there all the time and dont give tips to them. they get mad and dont want to waiter you.

  9. I don't tip restaurants unless, the service was EXCELLENT, the meal was FANTASTIC, and the prices were reasonable.

  10. No. They charge too much for meals anyways.

  11. i don't mind tipping as long as it is understood that what i tip is my decision not some twit who thinks they deserve a certain amount, if you do your job well i tip well if you do it badly ......

  12. of course you should! it costs the same for you to eat at a restaurant as it does to take it home and eat it except at home you have to serve yourself, clean the table and wash the dishes, thats what the waiter/waitress gets tipped for!

  13. Why wouldnt you contine to tip at a restuarant? Maybe I dont understand the question but of course you should still be tipping your waiter/waitress!!

  14. Is this pick on the waitress day or did I miss a memo? Why would we NOT tip the waitress? Oh, guess I can't answer a question with a question. Well, I'm going to continue. Unless the service stinks.
