Should we dismiss ANY possible energy source NOW?

I mentioned the Joe Cell the other day, and was dismissed with a smple reference to 'the force'. Are we REALLY so sure that we know EVERYTHING about our universe, and can dismiss ALL unusual technologies?

With that attitude, Columbus would never have found the New World.

  1. People need to open their minds on many levels.  Nobody should be dismissed with any good idea.  So many inventors over the centuries have been laughed at and persecuted (Leonard da Vinci, Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, etc.).  I think at this time in our world, we need to find out everything needed to keep our planet going.  Of course they will not put out anything on the market that is not researched and approved yet.  We can leave that to the experts, and when it does come out, ascertain whether or not it is viable for us. . . That is unless anyone has some great ideas in their brains right now, then it is up to you to take action now :)

    Great question!!!

  2. No, but we should dismiss the obviously fraudulent claims.  To understand why the claims made about this device are patently absurd, read up on the First Law of Thermodynamics.

  3. On the contrary, we know nothing about the universe, that's why we can not dismiss any possible source of energy.
