Should we do a theme for my 30th birthday party?

Question

It's a low key backyard party- family friendly, light food and cocktails served, but very informal. Wondering if we should just keep it as is- no theme, or do a Hawaiian theme (encourage guests to dress the part, have Hawaiian themed art projects for the kiddos, etc. What do you think?
