WELLINGTON, New Zealand - A family court judge in New Zealand has had enough with parents giving their children bizarre names here, and did something about it.

Just ask Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii. He had her renamed.

Judge Rob Murfitt made the 9-year-old girl a ward of the court so that her name could be changed, he said in a ruling made public Thursday. - AP

How many Tamiquas and LaShandas and Shanaynays do we have to put up with?

h**l, I'd welcome Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii. At least it's creative.

  1. I understand parents want their kids to have unique names but the people in that article and thousands of others are going way too far with creativity. the poor kids are to be ridiculed as they get older by some many people. that to me is child abuse, mentally.  emotionally, and pschologically.

we need to get back to the normal everyday names from the baby books. Of course even some names in there need to be left out too.

  2. Okay, little miss pants around the ankles, you have a point and I agree.

Now send that New Zealand judge to the U.S., we could use him for sure.
