  1. Greyhound has good deals for seniors

  2. Fly, unless you want to see endless kilometers of wheat fields while  you hope your car's air conditioner doesn't break down from overheating in the heat of the prairies.

  3. If your in no rush take the train

  4. Since you said you're seniors, it's better to fly than make the drive. You can always rent a car when you land.

  5. I would defititly recommend taking the train, you can see a lot of Canada, and not have to worry about traffic and it's usually not that busy if you have time.  the greyhound can be really quite bumpy and noisy depending on when you go, and is really uncomfortable for sleeping.  If you drive, it will be a nice drive, the prairies will be boring, but going through northren ontario would be worth it (don't open the windows though, the bugs WILL get you).  If you want to get to Toronto quickly, then fly.

Once you get to Toronto, they do have a really good transit system, and you can get pretty much anywhere on it.  It would be travelling away from the GTA that would cause issues without a vehicle, such as if you wanted to go to Niagara falls, or go outside GTA.
