  1. i don't really see the problem with it. as long as we do actually improve it and we don't end up making it worse, or finding out twenty years down the line that we've given ourselves cancer or something by doing it!

this is what science is for - to explain certain things and to improve our quality of life.

there have been a couple of inventions or leaps in science in the past which upset certain groups of people when they were implemented and became integrated in the mainstream.

the fact remains that we are able to do it. if we were not meant to do it, why would we be able to develop the knowledge and the capability to do it?

food still has the same nutritional value as it did hundreds of years ago (relatively). however, due to our own actions, there are so many factors that negatively influence our health today (carbon emissions, limited radiation from household appliances and so forth). maybe this is our second chance to be able to enable ourselves to provide food that gives us the nutritional substenance we need.

  2. Sure why not, Study says that out of 100 kg of production of food. 40% wasted by heat and 25% lost in some different process.

Thus we are not getting proper return of Investments.

Secondly food does not have all nutritional values that human body needs, thus we need to take multi vitamins externally.

    1) To improve the investment return, 2) to improve nutritional values and 3) to reduce the inflation caused by food price food-seed must be genetically modify.

  3. Yes - check out "Golden Rice", which was engineered to provide high levels of Vitamin A.

This was intended to provide this vitamin to areas where vitamin a deficiency is a problem. Vitamin A deficiency kills 1-2 million people worldwide every year (and causes around 500,000 others to have deficiency symptoms like blindness)

  4. sure why not.

if you could eat 1 apple and get everything your body needed that would leave alot fo room for whatever you wanted to eat.

  5. maybe yes, but I'm not sure about that question, cause we are only on the common ailments of the circulatory system

  6. We can never be God but is fun playing god! Yes we must make our food better because there will be more of us then the food we have available. So if one meal can give me enough nutrition for the day SO BE IT! MORE FOR US ALL!

Just remember anything we do can be considered evil...  Our mindset must change NOT our actions! When it comes to making food better.
