  1. Congress tried to do just that last year and the American people swamped congressional switchboards, email servers and mailboxes with protests.

Congress finally had to back down.

    But they continue to try.

  2. No, deport them all.

  3. No!

    I say deport them all.

    No sympathy.

  4. No,the only thing we should be giving illegal aliens is swift deportation.

  5. Well, I am a Navajo, an as far as I'm concerned, anybody who is not a native american, should get the h**l out of here!

  6. no. throw the bums out!

  7. NO!

Everyone compares giving Amnesty to Illegals with Amnesty to Citizen Bank Robbers and other Felons.

I am guilty of that myself.

In fact, illegal immigration is a Civil Matter by our laws.

Should we just erase all civil laws and no longer enforce them?

    NO!

Civil laws are needed to help a society function. By granting Amnesty to illegals it invalidates all other Civil Laws.

Because they come here with the intent of breaking the law, (entering the country in the first place) they need to be given the full penalty allowed by law.

    That is my legal view.

My realistic and sensible view is they come here to break our laws and should receive no protection from those laws and any American should be able to do anything he wants to force them our.

They dont want the law to apply to them and feel they can disregard the law, then stop letting the law protect their so-called rights.

  8. No. The amnesty of 1986 was a dismal failure that was supposed to end illegal aliens coming to the US, but only served to encourage more.

Enforcement of existing law to the fullest extent and securing the border is what SHOULD be done.

  9. I believe it honestly depends on the situation and should be looked at on a case-by-case basis.

For example, there are some undocumented immigrants here who are causing mayhem (i.e. - theft, murder, drunk driving accidents, gang-related crime, etc.). For all of those sorts of derelicts, I say throw 'em back.

However, there are others who came here legally only to have a visa expire or their paperwork get tied up in the immigration process. Also, there are some with families (children who are citizens of this country and have a right to be here as much as anyone else). I believe we should extend Amnesty to THOSE immigrants.

Furthermore, I don't believe that the Amnesty of '86 was a complete bust. I personally know people who were able to become citizens in the process - receiving Social Security numbers so they could pay taxes like the rest of us, and even becoming business owners who have created jobs for more people (INCLUDING US born citizens who have always been here).

I currently know other undocumented workers who have AWESOME business ideas & have written great business plans that would boost our economy and create much-needed job employment. However, they are somewhat in a rut b/c they can't do anything in this country while undocumented & at the same time have no way to become sponsored if they were to return to their homeland.
