.The flow of US TAX Dollars to Medical Universities is the largest single aspect of modern health care.

Then all of this research is shared with the entire World ie We subsidize the Worlds Health.

So ... Since Cons hate health why shouldn't Europe offer to treat US citizens as a token of appreciation for all we have given them.

  1. Well, pharmaceuticals also benefit, and to a much larger degree than do other countries.  Perhaps we should start with them?  We get very cheap residents (many of whom are from other countries) for a number of years as well.  We choose to spend so much money on research and training.

  2. I thought the reason that we pay such huge prices for health care is "because we have to pay for research"...

but you hit on a KEY point... much of the research is gov. funded... and you're correct...

so, why are we paying so much for health care then... if all the research is mostly gov. funded?

    that's a good question...

and I think if visit most European nations... and something happens... their plan does cover you... maybe we should just ship out our sick people so they can get care over there... hahaha

  3. No.  The US imports at least as much medical research as it exports.  British and French medical research firms are pretty top notch.  Besides, why should we get free healthcare in other countries if we can't get it in our own?  I mean, if our tax dollars is funding all of the research, why do we have to go to other countries to get it for free instead of getting free healthcare here?
