  1. Sure why not spend all of YOUR money and anyone else you can personally convince to donate theirs as well.

But I and anyone else that isn't covinced yet should not have to pay a dime to support someone elses belief.

The same as we treat religions, if all you really have is belief and faith you can support them any way you wish, But it should not drive public policy.

  2. I don't know.  What do you already have invested?

  3. You can invest all of your own money you want, but keep your hands out of my pockets.

  4. YES! Global warming will impact us all so we should all try to help stop it or slow it down.  You don't have to invest money, you could invest your own time too. Volunteer!  Just using green bags at Publix instead of plastic ones could help and wouldn't be any inconvenience to you.

To those of you who don't believe its happening or don't believe we can make a difference: You can't deny that we are polluting this earth! So don't volunteer to stop global warming, volunteer to clean up the trash we leave everywhere and to save the animals that are going extinct! Don't you care?

  5. No reason to.  Top Russian scientist have determined that the Sun is responsible for all warmth on Earth, that co2 is a by product of the Sun warming the planet.

These scientist track the number of sunspots to the global temperature and they know that we will be reaching a minimal sunspot activity and the planet is going to cool down in a few years.

When this happens, we should have record deep freezes for 30 - 40 years.

  6. Invest?

I think we're better off imposing some simple regulations and letting the market take care of the rest.

I would, however, stop subsidizing road construction with the general tax fund.  That is, I would tax gasoline to pay for new roads, road repair, etc.  People who  use less gasoline would pay less taxes generally.  Those who use more would pay more.  What do YOU think will happen?

This way, people will be doing their level best to stop using fossile fuels.

Don't say it can't be done because the US is basically the only industrial country that does subsize its roads this way.  The tax system actively works against anyone NOT using the highway infrastructure because they are paying into the general fund but not receiving the benefits.

  7. Absolutely.  Global warming is quite possibly the greatest threat ever faced by mankind.  On top of that, addressing global warming has many side benefits - reducing our dependency on foreign oil, improving air quality, and creating new jobs in green technology, for example.

  8. If it wasn't for global warming we would still be in the last ice age.

  9. Stopping, no.  We haven't even precisely identified what threshold of CO2 constitutes Dangerous anthropogenic Interference yet!  More money alone isn't the answer.  Education is needed.  This site is a good example of that!

Anyway, the spending spree has just begun.  In the Netherlands, they're spending $390 million as part of their Room for the River program, buying up farmers land that had been reclaimed decades ago, with the intent to then lower the surrounding dikes.  More projects are planned, others are still in the planning phase.  Companies like Dura Vermeer are constructing amphibious homes, and doing research on buoyant roads and floating greenhouses.  I for one might want to invest in a company like that if we stay the course.

  10. No, we can't stop what we are not causing.

  11. No we should invest more money into saving the economy

  12. Sure. Knock yourself out! Put all your money into it for all I care. Or you can go to Vegas and loose it there...no difference.

  13. No, what are we going to do to change? car companies are working on doing their part in making the world "green". What should we invest in? I live in colorado, if stopping Global Warming helped the weather be more consistant, i'll do what ever it takes on my part

  14. You can invest (waste) your own money, please don't involve us!  If you haven't been updated recently, "Global warming" was renamed "Global Climate change" when the "Climateers" found out that the earth's temperature wasn't getting hotter but cooler.  Then when they found out that we already knew the earth climate is always changing with or without man and his wicked green house gasses (a.k.a. CO2 or breath) they once again had to do another dance & renamed GW to it's current name "ACC" for "Anthropogenic climate change".  That's why you hear the phrase "Global warming causes global cooling". That way either way they can blame man for anything they want.  If you sneeze you just may have to be terminated.

  15. If you had unlimited funds what would you do to stop Global Warming? I can tell you what you could do. NOTHING.

If every human pack up and left this planet what is happening now would continue. There's nothing we are doing has any bearing on Global Warming. If .3 of a degree over ten years is Global Warming then someone needs to get back on their medication.
