IN ORDER TO HELP CURB INFLATION?

Mr Darling thinks that we should all not have a payrise this year- or at least one that is well below inflation. Meanwhile, the price of energy may soar this year by 40%, and food and petrol prices continue to rise.

I - for one, will stay in bed all winter and hibernate. If everyone stays in bed for the coldest fortnight, you will save on average £450 per household. What will you do to save money? Come on, we've all changed to energy saving lightbulbs etc, cut back on summer holidays and that. What else can we do?

  1. this just proves that Mr Darling doesn't know his a*** from his elbow. His helpful ideas are that we don't ask for a payrise, how ae we going to pay the ever increasing bills then. The mans an idiot and a hypocrite. Bet their pay rise will be huge again.

I have to say I like your idea about staying in bed for two weeks though. A sound idea!

  2. Share baths...

  3. Just ask for the rate of inflation - so about 20% then.

  4. Leave the UK!

  5. Are you a minister or an MP? I think they are currently the only people the government thinks shouldn't have an above inflation payrise. In which case I'd imagine you'll have enough to see you through all the same!
