Homeschooling means different things to different people, and we all live in a variety of places and circumstances, and have different kinds of children at a mixture of ages and stages. For getting to know each other slowly, but they mostly apply to people who are living in the same city or at least nearby, - and this doesn't apply to quite a few people.

Clive recomend home schooling from his experiance and says that he have a 14 year old son and a 16 year old daughter who have moved from formal schooling to home schooling a few months ago. They have never had cause to regret thier decision. Their children study the IGCSE syllabus, which is accepted by most colleges across the country and is also offered by several

schools. If at some point you feel that your child would benefit from formal schooling, he will be able to find an IGCSE school which will take their child. Though one must that most IGCSE schools appear to be high end in terms of fees.

  1. I am not sure I understand all of what you said... but I support the right of parents to educate their children at home, regardless of where they live.  In some countries there might be specifics about the culture that would validate more regulation of the practice than in other countries.

  2. Who are the "we" that would be promoting homeschooling?  If you live in India, then I would say "yes" because homeschooling can be a very good thing and education is ultimately the responsiblity of parents.

But if you aren't in India, my answer would be "no" because I don't believe that people should be involved in trying to tell others how to raise their children or how to change their society.
