We have a new kitchen being insalled. There is a chimmeney style hood in between two big windows. There cabinets are on both ends with crown molding going to the top of the ceiling. Over the whole area there is a soffit. I hate it but there is major plumbing and heating over the soffit. It is quite big. Should i continue the crown molding in the area between the two big windows and hood to cover it? (it's dark brown) will it look funny to have crown molding from the kitchen cabinets go over an area that has no cabinets? or should i put white ceiling molding?? any other suggestions?

  1. No I wouldn't go with the white molding, because it will be the big elephant in the room no one wants to look at, but they can't take their eyes off of. I say Continue with the molding that is on the cabinets and soffit. It will bring the kitchens look together! Hope your kitchen turns out great!
