Your opinion: should we reduce our carbon footprint? Please provide data and evidence to say why or why not.

No.  We're a carbon based lifeform as is all life on this planet.  Reducing our "carbon footprint" is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of.

Anyone who believes in this AGW scam deserves to have the con artists like Al-gore take all their money, but the rest of us are too intelligent to fall for such a hoax.

So reducing our carbon footprint is superfluous.

If you care about the well being of this earth for your children and grandchildren this answer should be obvious.  It frightens me that people actually believe the BS proposed in the article provided by the first answerer.

It is sad that there are so many people on this earth who really think it's not their job to take care of it.  We are *all* responsible, people!

No...think about it...everything in your house has been transported by at least 3 diesel trucks/trains/planes..Limit our soo called "Carbon footprint" and the cost of your loaf of bread at night is double what it normaly is. Because of this carbon foot print thing i now have to pay an extra 2.5 cents per litre of gas here in Canada..and it sucks that its high already! its like you paying 7 cents more a gallon in the US.  I think you should spew all the emissions out as you want while worrying about more important things in your country.

No, man is not causing this warming effect. When scientist go further back in time with their "Admittedly flawed" models it shows the earth is cooling. In fact from 1979 to 1984 the "experts" had everyone scared that the earth was in a global cooling period and we would cause irreparable damage to the earth if we didn't change our lifestyle by 2008. The actor, Ted Danson, "expert" went on TV and implored people to do something about global cooling. On the anniversary of the day he said this in 2008 Ted Danson refused to apologize. Today he is one of the stars saying we are causing global warming. If you think about it it's the media and the Hollywood personalities giving life to this entire theory. Try and get a scientific expert to go out in public and say it is definitely happening and that man is definitely causing it. They won't, it's all theory.

Then in 1989 scientist changed their opinion and said the opposite effect was going on, some were the same "experts" who said we were cooling.

  Mother nature cools and warms and there is nothing we can do to stop it or change it and we are not the cause of it.

  Despite all of ALgores efforts to reduce his carbon footprint his "footprint" actually increased by 10% over last year. We can't change it.

NO as nature already has. Where do U think our present supply of fossil fuel cane from. It is from fossil plants not animal. The plants take in the CO2 today and recycle it into fossil fuel .....
