Should we replace Australia's National Anthem and if so with what?

i like the australian national anthem just as it is. wouldnt want to change it. i think it will be weird having something like 'waltzing matilda' as the anthem, and 'i still can australia home' even though they're australian classics

I would prefer "We Are Australian", the extended song covers all of our multicultural families.

Please! Just about anything EXCEPT Waltzing Matilda. How embarrassing that would be and how totally unsuitable for an anthem. We Are Australian would be OK, or perhaps something new with the tune of I Still Call Australia Home (love that) with somewhat altered lyrics to make it ageless.

Or, we could hang onto Advance Australia Fair. It took a while, but it's grown on me and brings a tear to the eye now and I feel proud to be an Australian when I hear or sing it, and that's what an anthem is all about.

The last thing most people want is blasted Waltzing Matilda for a national anthem, WHY ???, Because they made everyone soooo sick of it, because you were made to sing it regularly at school, OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN, especially the students from the 70's era. So Bury the idea of waltzing Matilda and leave it there.
