We have 5 days in Spain. Should we spent 3 days in Barcelona and 2 in Seville, or the other way round? Any thoughts?

  1. Sevilla is small than Barcelona, you do the right choose;)

  2. You should spend the 5 days in Barcelona, saving one of them to go along the coast until Figuéres where's located the Salvador Dali house/museum (if you like DALI, of course). In Barcelona you must see Gaudi Park, the cathedral Sagrada Família, The Ramblas, Picasso Museum, just walking around the city.

Go another time to Seville and visit nearby Cadiz, Gibraltar (very interesting rock!) and go to Algeciras and catch a ferry to Ceuta (spanish city in Africa 2 kms of Morocco... a very safe place with fantastic history). Enjoy!

  3. 3 days barca!!! it's such a lovely city!

    enjoy your trip

  4. If it was me definitely Barcelona it's a fantastic city with so much to see ,visit las ramblas and a definite must is the magic fountains , whichever you choose have a lovely time.

  5. Definitely three days in Barcelona. And if you should meet a very pretty Polish doctor called Paulina, tell her I said "Hello, princess"

  6. barcelona is a great place for a visit ,but dont knock seville ,i have just spent christmas there and had a great time, clean ,historic with modern, many contrasts ,one advantage ,you are less than an hour from Jerez, great little town, and also a stones throw from Cadiz, and cordoba ,all well worth seeing I would spend 2 nights in seville and 1 in Jerez( sherry park hotel) pop into Granada on your way through, and finish in Barcelona, gosh i envy you ,what ever you do you will enjoy it.

  7. If I were you  would pick one or the other.  They are very far apart and you will waste the good part of a day in travel between the two. If you pick Seville you can take two days for Seville and cheks out Ronda, Cordoba and Granada. If you pick Barcelona you can visit the surounding area also, say, Girona, etc. Tarragona

  8. Barcelona every time.  The Familia Sagrada (Goudi's cathedral) will knock you out.

  9. Spend all 5 days in Barcelona. It's a great city with so much to see, especially if you enjoy culture and art. Try La Ramblers for an evening stroll and a meal. Almost every building in Barcelona is decorated, and in its own style. As for Gaudi's cathedral, well, just go and see.

  10. Barcelona every time....

if you have been to paris  the architecture looks similar as both cities were built around the same time ,well worth 5 days in Barcelona but Seville is also a good visit....

  11. 3 days Barcelona as it now has every leisure and sports facility possible since 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. The streets of Barcelona are alive by day or night, providing the visitor with a safe place for strolling around, whether for shopping, eating or simply passing the time of day. There is also 1 mile long city beach with clean soft sand, ideal for sun bathing. See http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/places/barcelo... for more details

  12. I think I agree with the others.

The thing is Barcelona deserves 5 days... and you'd spend half a day travelling between Barcelona and Seville...so spend it all in Barcelona to make the most of it.

I'd suggest you return another time to visit Seville for a 10 day trip, then you can also visit Cordoba and Granada at the same time.

Barcelona is a fantastic city - I was there for the Merce festival in September... totally brilliant!
