  1. Having had two melanomas (potentially deadly skin cancer) removed surgically, I've been warned to stay out of the Sun as much as possible. With depletion of the ozone layer, melanomas are alarmingly on the increase. Stay out of the Sun as much as possible. Otherwise, wear clothing which blocks ultraviolet light and sunblock.


  2. As long as you get vitamin D from your food and supplements, there is no benefit whatsoever from sunbathing, and the possibility of skin disease.

  3. you only need to be in the sun for 15 minutes to get your monthly dose of D3.   D2 is what they suppliment the food products with, but with not nearly the amounts, nor the quality of the natural D3.  you dont need to sunbathe, just walk around the block once in a while.
