Question:

Should we start training for 2016 now?

It's well known now that China began training athletes for the 2008 Olympics as soon as they found out they were going to host the games. They took kids probably 7-12 years old and started training them in sports which they had the opportunity to win the most gold medals. I'd say it worked. I'm really disappointed in the USA's performance this year. I know we'll end up with the most medals but I want us to have the most golds which we normally do. Should we start a similar program training our kids and have them concentrate on specific sports so that we can dominate in the 2016 Games with the possibility of the Games being in Chicago? (Of course they would still go to school)

  1. i think there has been some unfair judging for the olympic events

and i believe that really good athletes train hard everyday no matter if they are training for the olympics or any other events

  2. Some of the Chinese athletes were taken away from their families at an early age and trained in a large school. The saw their parents maybe 2 times a year. They did a bio on one of the gymnasts who said she was miserable at the time, but is glad now because the government gave her family a house, ( They were from a rural village and very poor.)

Can you imagine the uproar if  the US or England did this?
