Do you think we should stick to the ELV's (SANZAR) and let the northern hemisphere carry on with the old rules. Would you also like to see the Currie Cup and Air New Zealand Cup change to ELV's.

  1. When they first came out I was against them and thought they would turn my beloved rugby union into somthing resembling rugby league; but after watching the super 14 with the abridged version and Currie cup with the full version, I am coming around.  Some of the rules are a great improvement, whilst some need a bit of working/better refereeing.  I'm not sure if it's an ELV thing or just a Currie Cup rule, but I'm against the use of the TMO for incidents all over the field.  The ref's need to grow some balls and make decisions on the field (there are 3 officials out there and if they are worth anything they should get most offences).  I watch the bulls play early in the season and the match took an extra 30 minutes as the ref kept asking the TMO to take a look at possible foul play in the general course of play...the match started resembling an American football game with regards to the duration!

  2. stick with the ELV

  3. YES YES YES; time for change.

  4. NO NO NO! but I am a purist...

  5. Having watched my first game with the ELVs in an opening Scottish National League Game thought it wasan improvement .Let us all stick by it .

  6. when i first played with the new ELV's it was pouring down with rain, and the new rules dont really help it when the ground is in a terrible state and the ball is slippery. because u cant kick for territory as easy because of the whole " inside 22 " new rule.   but ion the dry the new ELV's make for an entertaining game. so i would like to stick with them
