  1. I can't see a desert plant as ever being viable for large scale production. Just sounds non sustainable to me. Deserts are fragile.


  2. We shouldn't use any food crop as an alternative fuel.  

    1. It removes nutrients from the soil that have developed slowly over years and destroys them.

    2. The amount of energy contained in plants is minute compared to the rate of consumption of fossil fuels, if we stop using food to fuel machines and conserve instead we would make much greater gains.
