Question:

Should we use a contract?

My husband owns and operates a small construction company that he does on the side of his regular job. He pours concrete and does small remodeling projects.

Should we have his customers sign a contract? If so does anyone know of any good sites we could use to create one?

Any advice would be great!

  1. Yes and you should talk to a lawyer.

  2. You should without doubt use a contract. This needn't be expensive assuming most of the jobs are similar and you can re-use a fairly standard contract. I'm sure you'll find some standard contracts on the Internet as a start point but it is worth getting it signed off by a law firm.

  3. office depot or any of the office supply stores have alot of construction contracts to choose from. They come in carbon copys also. That's where I get mine.
