Should we vote for some one just because they share the same religious beliefs as us?

It seems that republicans vote for some one just because they claim to be christians.

  2. No, I don't think that's ever the right thing to do. And your observation is quite astute regarding the Republicans.

  3. Well as a non-Christian, I wish the candidates would  just stick to the political issues at hand.  I don't share the same faith and it's insulting to me, as well as other non-Christians, to bring Christianity into the topic time and time again.

  4. Not all Republicans make their vote based on religion. I have a different opinion on religion then a lot of people in the Republican party (I don't agree with abortion in cases where someone doesn't want to be responsible for their actions but that is just my view and I don't think abortion should be banned because I don't like it myself) and my vote has nothing to do with religion as a whole. I believe in our country and what it stands for and make my vote based on who I think will lead our country in the right direction.
