Should we wait until they've had a chance to think about it?

I was at a Roman Catholic christening and the priest said "Does the little fellah renounce the Divil an all his works?' The parents said 'He does' and the little divil was christened. As the subjext was 4 weeks old, it's a remarkable rapport the parents have with the child, right enough.

  1. If you were able to conjugate a sentence I would know what you're talking about.

  2. I am sure no priest referred to the divil!

Infant baptism is more for the parents, really.    Better to leave it to adulthood.

  3. the bible NEVER once speaks of baptizing a baby or by sprinkling!  God does say we have to reach the age of accountability and choose for ourselves

  4. I agree Jesus said to come to him and believe and be baptised. I don't think turning the garden hose on an unsuspecting passerby quite cuts it.

  5. The Roman Catholic church is a major cult.

  6.    That's interesting, lol.

My pastor doesn't believe in baby baptism. He used to do baby dedication cermonies to God and he stopped that too.

He now says to train your children the way that God wants you to and all will be well with them.

  7. Doesn't mean that at all...You'd think you would have made a teeny run at the matter, seeing's how even a dullard would have sensed that the interpretation you reject should be rejected [but -- I know -- you're too lazy and couldn't be bothered].
