they've had it too good for too long, spending tens of millions on a race horse while children in the world die from starvation every day, and now they're turning the s***w with the prices

  1. So the Arabs are the only ones to spend millions on race horses? And what about English owners? What about Irish owners? Should I come round and take your money because you spend thousands on a car or hundreds on a TV rather than giving it to the poor? The fact is that it's their oil, they can do what they like with it.

The suggestion that they are "turning the s***w" with oil prices really shows your ignorance. Oil production has remained unchanged (actually, Saudi has increased oil production), so the "arabs" have done nothing at all. Oil prices have risen for one reason only - high demand from the USA, China and India. It's as simple as that. The blame is industrialised countries burning fuel they do not have like there is no tomorrow. The people moaning about oil prices are the ones who are creating the differential between supply and demand.

  2. No but  "civilized nations" should be doing everything they can to cut their dependence on middle eastern oil. We should not be buying any oil from any Islamic nation, period. And we should be charging them a fortune to import any food, goods, services, and especially technology into their backwards, Islamic nations.

And we should be very, very careful as to what kind of technology we send to these 8th century barbarians. They will use our technology against us and against each other.

  3. Compare spending millions on a race horse to spending/wasting 150 million on an election campaign.

Yeah, you're right, there are millions of starving children when other people all over the world, Arabs, Americans, Brits, you name it, waste billions on utter nonsense.

What's that got to to with confiscating oil?!?!

  4. Hi There

I too agree with 'Mr Rosenkranse'. However I have an uneasy

feeling as to where all this is leading to.

The focal point should be oil. To me I see "Blame"  flowing far faster than oil.

This commodity will not last forever, the Arabs for quite a while are buying up stock and shares, properties into Western info-structure. The Saudis know oil wont last forever.

History:- When man is in control he repeats the same mistakes, and out of 'Hindsight' mankind becomes very wise.

Then 'Blame' becomes 'If'. There is some hope around the corner in the way of technology, Windtubines, Solar power,

Hydro Electric schemes, and so on.

Of course the environment will become a little safer. Maybe

    environmentally friendly transport, Lorries ,Cars,Buses;Trains.

Planes will eventually come into their own with ingenuity, without the use of AV-Gas. I do believe contributes a lot to 'Global Warming'. Nothing is ever said about that.

If we use the gift of imagination, then we have the vision to determin our future, by the inspiration to survive by sheer inventiveness. (All the odds.)  By the time oil runs out.

  5. Do you really want to start world war 3 ? Bush would probably go for it!

  6. And why would we do that? It isn't ours to take.I think we as a country should learn some self control and new ways of getting energy,it is pass time to get independent of it.

  7. i wish

  9. I gave Mr Rosenkrantz a thumbs up for his answer, though he forgot to mention American race horse owners.

Should we confiscate the oil from the Arabs? No, we have no right to steal what does not belong to us, just be cause we need it.

  10. No. Because it is actually their oil? So "confiscating" it is actually just a nicer term for "stealing".

We would all be better off if we developed alternative fuels to oil.

It is extremely dangerous for the world economy to be dependent on a single fuel source! When the oil wells finally do dry up, and if we don't have any viable alternatives then... POOF! There goes the world economy, crumbling down.

  11. Maybe the arabs should get together and confiscate our strawberries?

It is exactly that type of thinking that inspires Al Queda

  12. No. We (U.S.) should be the bigger person and kick our addiction to oil altogether. If you ask me, that would be the best thing we could to to the Middle East. Lets stop throwing away our money to anti-America countries.

  13. Didn't we do that before and give it all back to them?
