  1. yes

  2. Isnt that what they signed up for when they joined the forces, to fight for their Country. It bothers me that people want to join the forces but don't even think that they may have to fight.  Why join, what did they expect they would have to do.

  3. yes, I believe that women should have the same rights as men, especially in this day and age. We are more than capable.

  4. Absolutely!

  5. Doesn't a soldier have enough to worry about, than having to deal with some moody woman on her period??

  6. of course, why not?

  7. Women should be allowed to serve only breakfast, lunch and dinner on the front lines. They should stick to what they know best and realise that they are not physically strong enough to do a man's job.  I've had women work for me (in a male dominated manual labour environment) and they've had to quit because it was too strenuous for them.

  8. oh ok, go on then

  9. No, that's disgusting.

Train men to treat women like men?!? BAHAHA Rio.

I don't really understand what women feel they need to 'prove' by becoming a lower grade solider who makes the the male soldiers job far more dangerous.

Ladies, a man treating a woman like a man IS NOT RESPECT!

RESPECT IS MEN TREATING WOMEN LIKE WOMEN.

  10. They already do in combat support roles.

  11. Yes because they are soldiers

  12. No. Because

    1. yes we are capable and there are some female individuals who are stronger then men but overall men are stronger so should serve.

    2. women are precious and men should protect them (not because we are so "weak", but because it is their duty and our right to be protected.

If men truly cared for women in this day and age this wouldn't be allowed. Men don't cherish the women the way they used to and women don't respect themselves and call on their rights the way they used to.

  13. Why not pulling a trigger isn't physical intensive h**l even kids are strong enought to do that

  14. if they're foolish enough to want to, sure.

but remind them not only of the flying bullets, but also the weight of the stuff they wear to protect themselves against said bullets, and the weather conditions in our current front lines (Middle East), mebbe they'll change their minds...

  15. Why would they want to is a better question in my opinion.

  16. Soviet women served alongside men in WWII fighting against the Germans.....because under communism, all people were "equal" and thus performed the same duties according to ability, regardless of s*x.

Women fought alongside men in the National Resistance Army in the 80's in Uganda.

From 1948, Jewish women in the army fought alongside men against Arab countries who tried to prevent the formation of Israel. Israel is currently considering opening up all combat positions for women in the army.

I believe that women should be allowed to fight alongside men if they volunteer to do so, without force or threat of retaliation against them if they refuse to fight. In most Western countries, men do not want women to fight along the forefront because men don't want to see women injured. Additionally, since women have traditionally held the responsibility of raising children, should a mother or even single mother die in combat, her children will be orphans. Along the same lines, I don't believe that a single mother would choose to serve in combat for the sake of her children, so I believe that single mothers should be advised against serving in combat should they choose to volunteer.

  17. Anyone who is qualified and willing to serve should not be forbidden from serving. Some complain that women pose a distraction to the men on the front lines. Well, can't they be trained to treat them like their fellow male soldiers?

  18. Why on earth would we want to do that? That's like saying 'Should women be allowed to be set on fire? Aw...I wanna'

  19. Yes.  However, I prefer that women not be put in harms way.  Unless it were a national emergency, we should be protecting women, not having them shot to pieces.

  20. Absolutely women have been warriors through the ages, Queen Boadicea kicked Roman a**e, Violette Szabo SOE tortured and shot by the Germans, and the latest CPL Sarah Bryant Killed in Afghanistan Warriors one and all.

  21. No, I think that they couldn't stand the site of their friends guts laying on the ground in front of them. I think that they would break down and be unfit to continue. I have been to war and have seen first hand what happens to somebody after they see their friend get killed.

  22. If they want to but I think that there should be less fuss made about it if they are killed. If someone is killed in the armed forces then they died doing their job. I do have every sympathy and respect but to me a female who dies at war is no different from a man, they have chosen to take that career path.

  23. The reality is that they pretty much are already...even if it's not called the "front line."

It's all a matter of semantics and politics.

  24. Anyone who is stupid enough to join the military should be allowed to do so and get themselves shot. Regardless of race. religion, gender and sexuality.

  25. I am going to be very un-politically correct and say NO. I am a women and I'm proud to be one. However, my dad has been to army bases and seen girls as young as 16 train to be in the army. The idea that some 20 plus yr old guys are going to watch a load of teenage girls die is out of this world. Not all men but a lot of men are physically more stronger than women and therefore its more practical for men to be on the front line.

  26. Not until they have the much more similar basic training standards I say no. When women can do the same number of push ups and running times that is at least a score of 80 for men. I say this because women would hold up the men and put the lives of the men in greater danger.

  27. It would be a waste of training and equipment, oh yeah and they'd all be killed too.

  28. It's not politically correct to say it, but no. These articles sum up a few of my reasons:

  29. I thought that they were already allowed to go to war.

Edit - Char curves and Curls - Very good article.

  30. Well they are but a lot of men feel awkward because they look out for them in a battle instead of themselves ... because they're women.
