  1. You can't make them be trained of course, but if you want to be done with diapers, you just get rid of diapers.  Then your child has two options: go on the floor or go on the toilet.  At first there will be a lot of accidents, but the child won't be a leaky faucet for very long.  A three year old is old enough to get to a toilet and that is what will happen.  If you go cold turkey on the diapers, have some carpet cleaner on hand *grin*

  2. How can you make a child be potty trained?

Should you force the issue. No. You need to work with your son. Try putting him in "big boy" underwear. Let him feel what  it's like to have a accident. Don't use the pull-ups.

If your son is ready, potty training can take a little as 3 days, but can take longer. If he is not ready, it will be long processes that will be difficult for your son, and yourself.

Boys are more difficult than girls, and many children are not ready to potty train until the are 3 or 3 1/2.
