Should you mix pool conditioner with chlorine or will it change the outcome?

I recently filled my empty pool with water and was wondering what would happen if i just put the pool conditioner with chlorine. If the chlorine shouldnt be mixed with the conditioner, how long should i wait before i add it in to the pool?

it's never a good idea to mix any chemicals together some time you can a chemical reaction and bounce the water then you have a yellow looking mess!
