Question:

Should you mow the lawns of your unsold property?

I'm referring to a whole subdivision that isn't easily seen unless one actually drives into the subdivision. Also, only one house in the subdivision is in the process of being built. The other lots are unsold and empty. To mow all the lots would either be time consuming or expensive. Is it worth it?

  1. If I am looking to buy a lot I would prefer to see it mowed, rather than overgrown and possibly hiding snakes.

  2. If you don't do it the municipality the house is in could and slap you with a hefty fine and a bill.

  3. Check with the local fire department to find out what landscaping needs to be maintained and in what way.
