Should you respect somebody who doesnt respect you?

well im 15 and i go to a uniform school

i got to school with my shirt untucked cause i have to bike 3 miles and i had my earphones on cause it takes 30 minutes to get there because of all the street lights.

well right away the vice principal i think sent me to the office and took my mp3.. i was gonna put it away and tuck in my shirt. he got all mad at me and just basically wanted to snap his hand at me.. so i did what he told me slowly and talked back after a while because he didnt show any respect whatsoever to me to start off..

im a nice guy but he started accusing me right away and he thinks im some stupid kid who doesnt know better, but i had a 4.0 first semester, and a 3.1 the 2nd semester(im working on it, which is why im in summer school)

this isn't one of those things can just be answered.... i do believe in giving respect to get it.... but that does work both ways... if you ain't giving it back, why should i bother giving it?

generally i go out of my way to respect people, but there are just sometimes when **** has gone too far and all the gloves come off.

No, but the situation might require that you at least pretend to. It won't last forever, I promise. =)

NOT always true. And, i wouldnt. Especially if your not gonna see them again.

u must pretend that u respect him. but deep inside he is a trash in your world. you must greet him when he is coming. he is unrespectable guy, u must pretend to respect him.
