Should you run the 100m metre's on you toes?

hi i was just wondering are you meant to run the 100m on your toes, as in intentionally move up on to your toes as i believe i am more naturally flat footed when i sprint

  1. i dont think so because u will hurt your toes


  2. yes, that's why there are only spikes on the front of the shoe. landing only on the front helps you lift your foot up again faster, because the whole foot doesn't have to land. and with the spikes they dig in and get better traction.

  3. when you run any distance one should land on their toes first, because landing on your heel first actually slows you down and acts as a break. so try running landing toes first for a while to get comfortable, then try it sprinting.

  4. running flat footed adds mroe time to ur race even if ur naturally flat footed or not. Practice running on ur toes a little more until u get used to it.

  5. yes. it forces you to have a faster turnover.

  6. you are supposed to run all sprints on your toes
