Yep, sidebite....it should be like a reflex habit, because you never know, something may be in a blind spot, and your signalling would get a response before a potential accident.

  1. If a tree falls in the forest and there's no one around to hear it does it still make a sound?

The answer is OF COURSE you do.  If you always signal for a lane change, then you won't forget to do it when it's really important... Like when that police cruiser is right behind you.

  2. yes. i cant understand why that is a problem. i dislike it almost as much as tailgating. imean for myself at least it has become so much of a habit and i just do it automatically, a few times ive hit the turn signal pulling around at the drive-thru window.

  6. yes you should, also it it gives the police another reason to pull you over even if it isn't illeagal.

  7. YES, because if you get into the habit of doing it when you do not necessarily need to do it, then it will be second nature to do it when it is needed.

  8. Yes, because it will eventually become instinctive - a lot of drivers change direction without giving a thought to the other traffic around them, whereas if you automatically signal as a natural part of your manoeuvre, the one time that you change lanes without looking in your mirror, at least you are giving following traffic a chance to know what you are about to do.

  9. good driving habit, regardless of traffic...... please remember to signal early....all the time!!!    p.s.    to most drivers- not while you are in the process of turning-  TOO LATE!
