You need to be late for your period for any at home test to be accurate. The only way to tell before is to get a blood test done.

there is a chance with the 5 days before miss period test so try one if it comes back negative then wait until you miss your period and take another test i hope God bless you

Um, contrary to what has been said here NO YOU don't have to wait till you're late for a hpt to be accurate.  I am 8 months pregnant and I took an hpt BEFORE I missed my period and it was positive.  I am due on Halloween.... of course it was a day or so before I was to start, but none the less it was BEFORE I missed my period.  Just make sure it's a good one like EPT or First Response.

you need to wait  until your period is at least a week to two weeks late  in order for a home pregnancy test to give an accurate answer.
