Should your country of origin have the right to tell you where you can and can't go? I can understand...

a foreign country not wanting certain people to come into their country but shouldn't we as human beings have the right to choose to leave a country that we don't like/want to live in?

Do you mean, for example, no Americans to Cuba or no Malaysians to Israel?  Not many countries stop you from going to other countries, including the US and Malaysia, there are just consequences if you go back home afterwards.  Unfair?  Maybe.  Legal?  Yes.  This is low down the list of issues to worry about.  If you really want to go, you can.  It is up to you as to how important it is to you.
