Someone was moaning about the censorship in a blog, but I've seen some very nasty racist items on it. Should they start banning accounts and IP addresses on these peices?

How could they decide who to delete?

  1. Will you be my secetary?

  2. I don't believe anything should be censored.  Though I believe that hate speech is vial and foul, I believe that if I attempt to stamp out one persons freedom of speech, what is to happen to my right to freedom of speech.  If you don't like what's spoken or written don't listen or read.  I do appreciate your question, but banning accounts in my view would be wrong.

  3. The report innapropriate content feature seems to work pretty well on youtube. Ultimately I think users need to collectively decide what the "community standards" are by reporting...and then the "editor" makes a judgement on how reasonable the objection is. It all boils down to what a "reasonable" person thinks.
