  1. try icy hot patches..or is it hot n icy? either way they work..i tore a muscle in my should playing volleyball too..but i practiced a few days after that and used a patch..it really works i couldn't feel anything!!

  2. If this does not get better within a week of using the Ibuprofin (sp?), go see your Doctor.  Rest can help, but if it is something more serious, too much rest then will cause you long term problems.

  3. TAKE A BREAK.

b/c i fu dont then u will just make it worse.

b/c that is what i did.

if u try to do more then u might make it worse.

so take a break for maybe a day or 2.

or just dont serve. and just hit it and stuff.

  4. there's something called "icy hot" and "bengay". try those for your pain, and then it might feel better.

  5. Rest...I tore muscles in my chest, shoulder and back playing base ball with pain...That was twenty years ago and it still hurts, despite physical therapy 3X a week for 4 months.

  6. You may need to take a break..A day or so off mabe. You NEED to keep the ice and heat going. Keep taking your ib profin and be careful. Dont OVER do it, you could really hurt yourself if you are not careful. It may suck but you need a little time off, take it.

If it is not getting better see a docter. GOOD LUCK CHIKA

  7. rest your arm and continue the ice/heat and ibprofin (sp).  it sounds like you over did the serving a little bit and your shoulder needs the rest or else something can end up tearing, etc and that would not be too good.  just tell your coach whats going on with it and he will probably let you rest it because torn ligaments/tendons aren't any fun.  if your school has a trainer, the trainer may tell you what would be a good treatment for the pain.

  8. It sounds like the issue is your shoulder strength.

Try using stretch bands and doing some resistance training with your shoulders.  The pain will likely continue with your serving and hitting for a while without taking a break and building up your strength.  If the pain does continue definitely see your doctor and perhaps request some physical therapy. They will likely get you on a program to strengthen your shoulder, or if there is something else wrong they should be able to tell you.

  9. try 2 serve underhand 2marrow and see how u feel before your next game.... it is 2 much 2 ask of him 2 excuss u from practice !!!

  10. Shoulder pain may come from a lack of stretching or inflammation caused in your shoulder. The biggest suggestion is probably to stick with ice because it will reduce inflammation and therefore, eliminate the pain in your shoulder.

Another suggestion is to stretch your shoulders and your arms. See a trainer for extra help in the areas that are difficult to stretch.

  11. go against the wall and sort of twist her arm and and press into the wall and then tell her to just bring your arm across your body and press in
