Shouldn't McCain be ashamed of all the scrutiny he objected Obama to about inexperience?

Now that he has chosen a complete unknown and a complete moron when it comes to international affairs. The most impressive thing on her resume is that she somehow managed to be a beauty queen-oh so qualified for the highest office in the world! Not to mention she was a governor over a population of only 7,000! Might as well have picked a small town mayor McCain-what a nutcase.

  1. absolutely

  2. Your choice of objected to and you would criticize McCain.

  3. I know, he should be; especially knowing that he might die soon

  4. I'll probably get 5 thumbs down bc of you liberals think that actually matters, but anyway, here it goes...

Although it is the largest state in size, it is not  in population. It actually has a number of citizens similar to that of, oh, say DELAWARE. So are you all saying that no one from DE should be allowed to run for President? Argument #1 destroyed.

Experience... 700 days as Governor. Obama 150 days as a Senator; you all have to remember that the senate only meets during sessions within the year... he was not working for 4 yrs in its entirety. Argument# 2 detroyed.

You can't say that Obama doesn't have the experience to be Pres but she does.... well, she's going to be the VP, NOT President. She will gain experience to lead the country(although she has led her state) in 4 years; Obama will learn to lead along the way. His VP nominee has already made statements to that affect. Arguement #3 destroyed.

She's the nominee simply to gain Hilary voters. ABSOF-INGLUTELY. why do you think OBIDEN was formed. Biden was chosen simply to gain the blue-collar, white voters from his home state of Pennsylvania. Why else would Obama pick him knowing that Biden would rather run with McCain than Obama(look it up, he actually said that after he pulled out of the race.) NO Other reason... all this talk about McCains reason is simply the pot calling the kettel black. Arguement#4 destroyed.

Face it, McCain's choice for VP was 1000x's better and she will be the first woman elected President by the entire country.  It won't be Hilary bc the Dems didn't allow it to happen. And bc of that, It never will.

now give me your thumbs down, i wouldn't expect anything less.

  5. Though I do agree with your statement in general, one correction- she was mayor of a small town with a pop. of 7000, and then governor of Alaska, which has about half a million people in it.

That being said, I do thing it is a somewhat lame surprise from McCain. It was plainly done for a combo of reasons: To attract Hillary Supporters, to grab hold of the youth and change theme, and to get a governor (executive experience) who is as far outside of Washington as you can get. He may have been hoping to cement Alaska, which has been looking rather close as of late, and perhaps give himself a better chance in other more libertarian states, like Colorado and Montana.

The pick will not work out as well for him as he apparently believes. First off, as you said, this kills the inexperience argument; if you truly believe that Obama is too inexperienced, how does putting a person with far less experience one heartbeat away from the presidency make any sense? The Hillary Supporters are more unified behind Obama now that the convention is over, and picking a woman for the ticket isn't going to change that. Sure, there are still going to be fanatical PUMA's who will never give up, but this pick doesn't change that either. And the change equation isn't going to be altered simply because she isn't from Washington; she is already involved in one scandal, and in fact the entire Alaska Repub Party has been mired in Scandal for awhile now.

Where this does help McCain somewhat is in the area of Libertarianism and solidifying his base. She is supposedly a hardcore conservative, and most Repubs seem to like that.

  6. yes

  7. This was an irresponsible choice by John McCain.  If he makes a decision like this now, what would he do under pressure? I am very disappointed by his choice for VP and now I will vote for Obama.

  8. NO. He said Obama wasn't qualified to be President, Vice President under Hillary perhaps..but not president.

  9. he should be.. but hes prolly not bc hes a republican and whats good for them isnt good for anyone else.

  10. If he's not ashamed of being an adulterer, I doubt it.

  11. He should be but Republicans don't have shame!!!!

  12. From Beauty Queen to Hockey Mom to Head of the PTA to Council Woman to Mayor of a town of a little over 7000 to Governor of Alaska for a year and a half (who by the way is under investigation for abuse of power) to Vice President with absolutely no foreign policy experience. That's a stretch.  They'll wish they never uttered the word inexperience.

  13. Yes and that old f**t is 72.

  14. Excuse me, Obama only has 6 years as a senator, how can you say the woman has no experience. You obviously weren't paying attention. By the way McCain is not a nutcase, he made a strategic move, could prove to be a good one since so many Hillary supporters might just vote for him now that a woman is on the ticket.

  15. WOW i didn't know the largest state in the United States only had 7,000 people...so who is the moron here.  And in my book she does have more experience the Obama.

  16. I thank John McCain, because he just helped Barack Obama win the presidency with the vp pick of Palin.

  17. It just proves how much of a shallow hypocrite McCain has become. He's pandering to the religious right, the conservative base, and Hillary's supporters with this choice.

And he's expecting to win with a veep whom has no national experience on any matters foreign or DOMESTIC?!?

Man...did John Boy sink his own campaign ship with this one.

  18. you dont really need a lot of experience to be vp
