Question:

Shouldn't Mt Ararat be littered with the bodies of those that drowned in "god's" great flood?

If the ark is "locked in ice" high on Ararat, shouldn't there also be bodies that drifted around and came to rest on Ararat as the waters "abated"? Yet I have not read of any archeologist finding the bodies of any victims of the great flood locked in the ice (or anywhere else) on Mt. Ararat.

  1. no because the devil hid them under the dinosaur bones to test your faith.

  2. No, I think the sharks and other creatures of the oceans ate well. The snows and ice did not form on Mt. Ararat until after the ark came to rest there. The bodies would have decomposed and returned to the dust. The ark would have been made of huge logs and was covered in tar or pitch both inside and out giving it the ability to withstand enough time for it to become covered in snow and ice if it really is still there. Some bodies were covered by the dirt and sediment stirred up by the flood, why do you supposed the high majority of fossils are found where water once stood, dry river beds and such and mostly in shale and sedimentary rocks? Some of those Neanderthal bones are found in caves where they may have been trapped by the flood and also of previously dead Neanderthals buried by their families.

  3. Of course not.  The ark landed on Mt. Ararat.  The bodies didn't.

I have found shark's teeth in the Rockies, for what it's worth.

You think they'e older because that's what you've been taught to believe.

  4. In answer to your question on Mt. Ararat.  People would have drowned way before the ark got to the heighth of the mountain.  Beside during the raining part, the ark was not resting on the mountain. It only came to rest there after the water was low enough. The ark was on the water more than just when it was raining too.

And we no one can tell you what is at the site because they won't let us do any more archeologist digs now. The government shut out any further digging after they found the ark in the ice, because people were taking pieces of the wood for analysis and they didn't want it disturbed any further.

  5. No, because it never happened

  6. first it says the mountains of ararat. second it was a global flood.that's why we have a hard time finding intact complete fossils they were ripped and torn apart all over.look at the fossils it looks like all the animals were killed violently. the evolutionist explain it with the great metor that wiped us out. creationist say it was the flood,\. both views can explain what happened. so now you need to look at the evidence.this earth is covered in 90% sedimentary rock( rocks formed by water) this lines up with the flood. there is sea shells on mt. everest on top. this lines up with the flood covering the earth.

  7. i see...so dead bodies float in the same space for over forty days...didn't know that...thanks...

  8. There is no evidence for a global flood similar to the one described in the Noah's ark myth.

  9. According to the Biblical timeline of the Flood, the Ark did not come to rest on Mt Ararat's region for over a year after the flood initiated...one would hardly expect human bodies to float and not decompose and sink for that long....or for sea creatures not to devour them. The little ice age that came after the flood ended is what covered the Ark with snow and eventually ice but not until many years after the Flood. Some creatures which could not escape the flood waters were buried rapidly and became fossils if the conditions were right...humans probably had the ability to evade flood waters for a time...hang on to floating objects, etc....things most animals could not do. Some fossils show animals which were in the process of fighting or eating another animal or tending a nest...indicating how rapidly the flood waters came in some areas.

  10. Yes, if there was even one atom of truth in the Noah story, it would be.  Just another point that discredits the bible.

  11. No.  All the bodies of people, animals and vegetation were pulled down into the earth when the water receded.  The vegetation or compost where the water was allowed to leech away turned into coal.  That which was in an area where the water was not allowed to leech away was turned into oil.

Today, we are driving on the judgment of God.

  12. No because all the bodies will settle in the low areas first. As the high mountains will be the first to be uncovered and the low areas will be the last to have waters.

No fossil of a body will be found unless it was covered fast and buried.

bones that lay out in the open are eroded away and will not become fossils.

  13. why should there be more bodies on Mount Ararat than anywhere else? start searching where you stand, the earth is full of them.

  14. Why are non-believers always look for the obvious? O.K. here's a little morsel for you to bit on. I have 5 sharks teeth that are petrified. I found them on my lunch hour about 15 years ago had them looked at by an expert. There the real deal. I live about 1,300 miles away from the nearest salt waters. How is it that they got to be where I found them?
