Question:

Shouldn't NJ be awarded either the Giants or Jets?

Being as they both play in E. Rutherford New Jersey, don't you think that one of the franchises should honor them with one of those teams? They are the only teams in the NFL to share a stadium and they're in arguably the biggest market for sports in America. I never understood how they could be called the New York Giants OR Jets and not have a stadium in New York. I know Dallas doesn't play in Dallas, but at least it's still in the same state. What do you think??

  1. It's all about appeal.

New Jersey just doesn't sound as good at New York.

No disrespect to NJ, however, you said it yourself. The biggest market in sports is New York regardless of the sport. Can you imagine the marketing/advertising loss of a New Jersey team? It just doesn't have the same appeal.

What sounds better? It's all about perception.

New Jersey Nets or New York Knicks

New Jersey Jets or New York Jets

    You get the point.

  2. I agree completely good luck changing it though.  Shouldn't the bills play in america if they are part of the AFC

  3. i know EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE SAYING!!! bbbuuuttt..... fact of the matter is its probably alot cheaper to be just outside of New York City than to be in New York City or an outskirt... I know what you're thinking why don't they just put it in another part of New York???

Cause then you'd have the New York giants Jets and Bills all in upper New York. Also, even if they were the new jersey giants/jets, listen to wfan during the football season, (NJ and NY's main sports radio network) almost all of the callers are from New York that talk about the Giants and Jets....

  4. Let Jersey Keep the Giants, rename them the NJ CHUMPS, and Have The Jets got to Long Island.
