Question:

Shouldn't SUV & pickup truck drivers get more of the blame for higher gas prices than environmentalists?

Half of the vehicles on US roads are gas guzzling SUVs and pcikups. Shouldn't they be the ones we blame for the current gas price crisis instead of environmentalists who say no to offshore/ANWR drilling.

  1. If you want. I'll just choose some country I don't like that much and blame them though, thanks.

  2. No!

  3. You are mistaken.  Environmentalist have blocked any and all attempts to become energy independent, no matter what route is proposed.

Environmentalist have a choke hold on our economy, and the people are the ones paying for it.

I wonder how much longer the people will stand for it?  Certainly not much longer,  the percentage in favor of drilling domestically is growing daily.

Besides,  some people need them for work.

  4. Look up and read the book Sun Tzu ( the art of war).

The price of oil in being manipulated by the Arabia world. They have never like the west and this economic warfare is the hardest for us to fight and good for them.

This is just apart of a bigger coming war.

  5. No. It's not the use, it's the lack of supply. We should be independant of foreign oil by now.We are supporting terrorists because of environmentalists.

  6. No, that's bad business. You don't blame the ones with the demand, you blame the ones stagnating the supply.

  7. Yes they should, because they are.

  8. huh?! the reason gas prices are high is because the Bilderberg Group (i.e. Cheney, Rockefeller, the Clintons, Bush Senior, (Bush Junior is just some dumb rich-kid to me) Obama, McCain, various royalty, politicians & every top banker in the world) have put a target of $200 per barrel of oil:

Iran has told them in return, that they intend to flood the market with cheap oil to ruin this plan. so obviously, Cheney will attack Iran to prevent the price of oil dropping.

so blame those control-freaks, not your fellow citizens.

btw there's more oil in alaska than in the middle-east & other countries (south america for example) have oil too & the US has stockpiles of the stuff!

  9. Go ahead and blame them.  You are already.

Sheesh.  Na na na na na, it's your fault.  I'm better than you.

  10. the only people i blame are the environmentalists that have stopped every viable alternative to fossil fuels where ever possible......

they oppose wind farms..... they oppose solar arrays in the desert...... they oppose more refineries to match production needs....... they oppose drilling domestically ....so instead we pump billions of dollars overseas to ship oil at a carbon footprint that staggers creduality to supply our oil needs.....

they even oppose creating better more efficient highway systems that would alleviate congestion and free up traffic that would also reduce fuel consuption......

end result is the constant bickering and intervention has led to more polution, more demand for fuel and a infrastucture incapable of supporting itself ......i blame the interventionist and ecologist activist

  11. John M LOL. Don't be silly.

Canada imports more oil to the USA than any other country on the planet.

Why blame any Arab nation, when it sells less oil to the USA than Canada.

In 2007, BOTH CANADA AND MEXICO, INDIVIDUALLY, SOLD MORE OIL TO THE USA THAN ANY OTHER COUNTRIES...

Why blame Arabs when our neighbors are bilking us for BILLIONS.

  12. Sorry I drive a truck.  I NEED one for work.  I can not carry ladders and all my tools and parts in the back of a car.  What would you have me do?

And there is no point in me buying a car to use when not at work.  Instead of paying $250 extra a month for gas I would be paying $350-400 on car payments.

I am against ANWAR/more offshore drilling, but I am the one who gets hurt the most by high gas prices.  My Dad's  company's gas bill for last month was over 20 grand and he only runs 19 trucks.  And if they were not trucks or large vans the company would not be able to function.

For the record I am a college student, I do not work for my dad, and I pay for all my own expenses including gas.

  13. last time i checked i have a freedom here to own any vehicle i please   blame  Why havent any refineries been built in usa in 30 years people like you dont want built in your back yard  think i will blame you
