Question:

Shouldn't Valero fight a warm up fight with Guzman, first?

I think it's way too early for Edwin Valero to fight Manny Pacquiao. In my opinion, Valero should fight another undefeated guy Joan Guzman and the winner of that fight should fight Pacquiao. It'll be a fight to prove that Valero can handle a slick boxer especially a boxer who fights 12 rounds. Come on, Valero has had brain surgery, I don't think he's ready for Pacquiao.

  1. valero should fight a rated boxers first before he fights pacquiao look at his profile non of the boxers he defeated is well known in boxing arena

  2. Valero first, Hatton next, then Marquez or Campbell

    .

  3. maybe valero's camp is afraid to face the likes of guzman. guzman speed will give valero problem. thats is why they are going against pacman. even if they lose at least its against pacman and not to guzman.

  4. You answered your own question the best, my friend.

I'd rather see him fight Soto though, now that would be a great fight to watch.  Or if he wants a Lightweight, they should pin him against Katsidis or Juan Diaz.

But to go straight to Pacquiao is a foolish decision by Valero's promoters/managers.  Valero has potential to be a big draw... not so much if he loses to Manny.

  5. yeh as then we may see if he is what some think that he got what it takes to have a big fight  ... you may also see the orther side that he not as good as some think.

i think he can fight and may hurt manny if walk on to one big shots but he shuold take a few more fights 1st. but if they did meet next i would not be upset more for it if i had to say a winner

manny only foot work and speed

  6. To fight pac man, you should have earned the boxing rights of passage to fight the top. But then again Solis did fight Pac before.

Im rooting for p***y to ko in 7-12 rounds but I think it will be a lethal brawl that the two will urinate blood. Just like Haggler-Mugabe. CANT WAIT!

  7. That will be one h**l of a warm up, as you would call it. Anyway, I do agree that he should try his luck at Joan Guzman first just to get a significant name under his belt. Even a Rocky Juarez could be a decent step up, before going after Pacquiao.
