Shouldn't being "Green" mean that you are for Global Warming?

Since satellites are showing the earth turning greener and greener with plant life due to increased sun energy and CO2 which plants love doesn't that mean that people who are for Global warming are "green" and people who are opposed to are not?

  1. Your question doesn't really make sense. Being green in the environmentally conscious sense means that you want the planet to be able to continue to support human life. The plants will be here after we are gone.

  2. Nobody's "for" Global Warming, they just have different ideas of why it's occuring, and some think it isn't even occuring.  A lot of people who don't think global warming will destroy the planet still recycle and use energy efficient appliances.

  3. No! Most socialists like a cooler global climate.  It fosters a "sit in my subsidized government apartment and collect my government check" mentality.  Liberals love this!  Most of them are slackers that can't cut it on the mainland, so they try to work in Hawaii!!  It is hot there....go figure!!

  4. no.

first note, one of your references is a letter to the editor.

    hardly news.

the other is from the cato institute -- a shill for the oil industry.

    however, back to the "question."

nobody (at least nobody with any sense of responsibility) is "for global warming".

    it's a problem.

"Since satellites are showing the earth turning greener"

    which satellites?

    what part of the earth?

why is it that all you "it's not warming, and if it is, that's a good thing" folks have no honest science to back your "arguments" up?

  5. Satellite pictures also show deserts growing and African lakes at record low level (once upon a time, there was a lake Chad).

Also most CO2 is produced along with NOx, SOx, soot and heavy metals which plants do not enjoy.

  6. no, no and no. green images are because of the melting permafrost in certain regions and these will be favorable to them because thay will have the chance to plant and convert their snow stricken land to agricultural lands ust like in green land and russia. BUT more will be affected by these global warming more than you or i can ever think of.

  7. I guess one could be considered green if he is for global warming.  I was watching a show about the Sahara Dessert on Discovery Channel the other day, which is by the way as big as the entire US, and they were saying that due to global warming that the dessert would someday become a huge tropical forest!

I can't see how that is a bad thing.
