I am a tenant and if there is dog **** on the front lawn who is responsible to clean it? Shouldn't it be the Landlord? Isn't he suppose to maintain the building?

*please note I do not own any pets!

  1. The owner of the pet is suppose to clean up after their animals!...

  2. Who is responsible for the lawn? I would think that they would be!

  3. I would suggest RETURNING it to its rightful owner via a flaming bag on their doorstep!  IF that doesn't clear your problem, perhaps a well aimed dirty nappy at the offenders home sweet home will bring about the attitude adjustment your poorly trained neighbor needs?  Good luck with this!

  4. Do you know to whom this dog belongs to? Are you the only one living in the house? where does the landlord live?

To whomever the dog belongs to they should be the ones cleaning up after the dog  ,but unfortunately some people are selfish and show no respect for other people 's property, so if you are the only one there and the dog **** on the lawn you are the one that need to clean the mess to prevent flies or stepping in it yourself . The landlord can only be responsible until a certain point ,if he lives there he could clean it , but it's really a matter of being clean , if you care about the appearances of the place that you live in, it only takes a few minutes to remove any **** or other types of littering from your front lawn.

  5. The pet owner is responsible, if the dog is a stray or is allowed to roam free you are responsible unless there is a specific clause in your rental agreement.  If you are in a complex, there may be grounds keepers who bear the responsibility, but if not it falls to you.

  6. First off, the responsibility to cleanup after the pet is the owner of the pet. Your landlords responsibilities should be laid out in your lease. Is there a clause there for grounds maintenance? Who needs an outdoor dog in an apartment anyway???

  7. It is actually the dog owners that are responsible.

If you live in a house in a subdivision then your pretty much going to have to clean the p**p.

If you live in a building where other people with dogs are not cleaning up after them you need to complain to your landlord.

If this doesn't solve the issue contact your city or county they can actually cite the owner for not keeping the property clean.

We have the same issue at our complex....they installed doggie bag stations...now if we could get rid of the outdoor cats....like who needs an outdoor cat in an apartment???

  8. well if that dog s***s on your fornt lawn i think your soppuse to clean it just beacuse you are the tenant. but if it not your fornt lawn i say wait for some one else to clean that up. i dont think that the landlord is soppuse to handle the dirty work.
