Question:

Shouldn't the Speedo LZR Racer swimsuits be banned?

Records are being broken everywhere. It seems like an unnaturally excessive amount of equipment. One might as well wear some flippers on the feet and swim even faster. Where does one draw the line?

  1. The swimmer makes the suit. The suit does not make the swimmer...its fair, because everyone has the option to get one.

  2. no of course not!

and to the r****d that said no its gross, speedo is a BRAND

everyone in the world has a chance to wear a speedo, so it is a fair advantage, and scientists have yet to PROVE that the suit gives swimmers extra bouancy

  3. There isn't a chance of the new LZR suits being banned. You see, FINA makes the rules for the swimming world, and says what kind of suits you can and can't wear. And guess who one of FINA's sponsers are?

    Speedo.

So no matter how unfair they are, it won't change anytime soon. Also, you can't give the suit all the credit, pretty much all of the US's elite athletes are wearing them. These athletes break records no matter what, the suit gives a very small advantage.

  4. here

  5. It's a swimsuit and not the first time a full body suit has been manufactored by a swimwear company.  What seems excessive is the cost of the LZR.

  6. Not yet. I think that the reason people are going faster is because they think they are going faster. Swimming has a lot to do with yuor mind and whether you think you can do it. I think the suit helps a little but not too crazy of an amount.

  7. Speedos are gross...i highly dislike them...they should be banned...guys should NEVER  wear them...EVER!
